Progressing normal drums to ‘forward’ ones… That’s what I’d call them at least, not entirely sure what the general consensus for their name would be! But breaking down how to get them strong sounding, with a nice flick.
Being sure to brush forward with the flat of the foot, and pick it UP in preparation.
Strength with the drop heel... Really digging it into the floor rather than just letting it fall!
Adding in the 'flick'! Drive in from the hip, and bring it right back in (rather than leaving it too far out in front) with the toe pulled up.
