C-Curl Test for Upper Core Strength

We’re looking at the strength of your upper core here, and your ability to control the movement of your spine.

  • What You'll Need:
  • ~ Setting your phone up filming is a good idea to the movement of your spine, and whether to straining elsewhere to assist yourself!

Instructions:

~ Lying down with legs straight, curl your body up into a seated position.

~ You should be able to do this without needing momentum, or using your legs to help you!

~ Slowly lower back down to starting poisition, trying to really roll down your spine; imagine trying to get your vertebrae to touch down one by one in the right order.

~ Again,  notice your ability to do this movement with control; and without your legs bending or lifting off the ground.
